Top Ten Smartphones Accessories
By: Karla Rodriguez
Smartphones can be used for pretty much anything in today’s world. From taking pictures to processing banking transactions, smartphones capabilities do not end within the device itself. There are many accessories that will improve the way you use and even the durability of your smartphone. After researching the many accessories available in the current market, we came up with a list of our top 10.
10 – Charging docks/ pods.
These docks/ pods are great; they are made to charge your device faster than a regular charger, without damaging your battery! They are a popular choice among business-minded individuals that are on the go and need their phones battery to keep up with them. These charging docks can be kept at the office or wherever you’ll finally settle down for a break after a busy day. There charging stations are small so they do not take up a lot of space.
9- Nokia Lumia 820/920 Wireless Charging Plate
These charging plates are the BEST! Imagine being able to put one on these on your nightstand and just place the phone on top of it and let it do the rest!!! You will have a full battery in the morning without overcharging the phone (Or having to wake up in the middle of the night to disconnect your phone so it doesn’t ruin your battery). No more annoying wires and cables getting in the way!
8- Fibit Ultra
Even though this is not strictly a smartphone accessory – I had to include it in our top ten list. With the use of an application this device will let you count your steps, floors climbed and calories burned. It is a simple accessory that will let you keep track of what you need when trying to burn those few extra calories.
7 – Otter Box Cases
Otter Boxes offer great protection for your smartphone; they come in an array of formats with different levels of protections for different devices. From simple impact to heavy duty industrial strength (there are videos of people that have thrown their smartphone protected with an otter box out of a balcony and there is not even a scratch on the phone!)
6- Steel Series Mobile Wireless Controller
This is a big advance for people who like playing on their phones and/ or tablets. It has been specifically designed for cross- platform use on the following: Android Smartphones. tablets, iPhone/iPod/iPad, PC/MAC and it feels just like a real game controller, it has dual analog stocks, D-pad, 2 trigger buttons and the classic button for layout.
5- Samsung Galaxy S3 MHL/HDMI Adaptor
This tiny cable allows you to create an HDMI output to your HD TV or any other device with HDMI input. This adaptor will allow you to watch movies, play games, browse the Internet and much more via your handsets USB connection – it will also charge your phone!
4- Car Chargers
Everyone probably knows this accessory, it is nothing bright or technologically advanced but we decided to add it to the list since it is SO useful. It is definitely not a good feeling when your phone is running out of battery, having a car charger can be lifesaving!
3 – Touch Screen Gloves
How come no one came up with this idea sooner? They are amazing!!! I personally own a pair and during cold days they are the BEST! You will not have to freeze your hand just so you are able to check your email or answer a call. I have to say it is kind of hard to text given it makes your fingers a little bit wider but they are still great!
2- Aqua Pac Waterproof Case
The perfect accessory for those who like the outdoors or spend a lot of time near the water. These cases will keep your phone protected for any kind of liquid damage and will still allow you to use it! So whether it is your tablet, your car keys or your phone these cases offer protection to anything you put in them when submersed up to 5 meters.
1- Crystalusion Liquid Glass
Crystalusion liquid glass used liquid glass, which is a new revolutionary product alternative to a screen protector. It is made of silica molecules, the main compound of glass suspended in ethanol. When applied to your device, the silica molecules naturally bond with your phones screen forming an ultra thin (100 nanometer) barrier against dirt, dust, oil, fingerprints and bacteria.
